This semester I taught a graduate course called "Spawn of the Dead: Aristotle and Rhetorical Studies." As the image on my syllabus suggests, the designers of the poster for the German release of the first zombie movie may well have used Aristotle's head as a model. The bangs are a dead giveaway.
Much less zombielike, however, are the students who signed up for the class. Good times:
Now, these are only some of the hardworking graduate students in the class. Ben Cheng must have disappeared, and Donghee Om is doing masterful work behind the camera. Here's the shot I took with Donghee in it--guess I need to stick with reading old texts and making bad, if prophetic, metaphors (see previous post).
