october is cool midwestern cities month (for me at least)

Including, but not limited to, Chicago (yesterday), Madison (tomorrow), St. Louis (next week), and Bloomington, IN (in two weeks). Also including, but not limited to, a damn good haircut, great thai food, good friends, the Magnetic Fields, doughnuts, bodies of water, and some of my favorite people in communication.

Ah, Bloomington. What a great town. I loved going to college there. If I was heading there this week, I'd go to the Snow Lion for Tibetan food--if it's still there. And I'd walk though campus and maybe take a nap on a red leather couch of the Mezzanine floor of the Union the way I used too (if they're still there). As a current Californian, I do indeed miss IU autumn.
