I have been neglecting you. Sometimes you are too public, and this past week has been so busy and topsy-turvy that I haven't felt terribly public. On the positive side of the balance sheet, we ended up getting a pretty great house in State College for a decent price. After we recover from closing costs--which in Pennsylvania (I remember this from Pittsburgh) are pretty effing outrageous--we will be very excited to live there, so that's good.
It's a little nutty that I'm fantasizing about an amish-built garage.
I will probably be pretty busy this coming week preparing for my trip to London, but my guess is that while I'm there I'll return to you, little bloggy wogg. Hang tight.

*if you think this is a subtle allusion to Russell Brand's new book, you're right.

Um, subtle? Not so much.

caraf: wait, not subtle b/c everyone's aware of russell brand's book and instantly recognizes it??!! b/c i thought it was my secret treasure. is this a phenom? if i am on the crest of a wave, i want to know.
also, dhawhee, you may be more blatantly referencing yourself, as i think this is how you actually talk and how you have referred to your blog in the past. in which case, you talk like russell brand, and in which further case *that's* the phenom. phenommy wenommy.

For the record, there will be no reference to Russell Brand while you are in London. As I do not like him, I prefer to think of him as a non-person, which lets me not think about him at all. The only down-side to Russell Brand being a non-person to me is that on occasion I also have to forget about Jonathan Ross who is occassionally mentioned in tandom with Russell Brand, having both sexually harrassed that old guy's granddaughter on BBC radio (which was okay, maybe a little funny.) Not being able to think of Jonathon Ross because of his link with Russell Brand in turn makes me very sad because I never miss an opportunity to think about Jonathon Ross's hair. I love Jonathan Ross's floppy-woppy hair, I do.
We'll blog together in London. Can't wait.
